Ose Oyamendan


Ose has an MFA in film production from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. His Graduate Thesis film, ‘A Final Wish’ played in over 40 film festivals worldwide and was recently licensed by Apple as part of the Halloween collection on iTunes, internet and wireless for the next ten years.

As a former broadcaster and journalist, he worked for newspapers and televisions stations including BBC; NTA; Concord Newspapers; Associated Press and Frankfurter Allgemeine. He won many awards as a journalist including Diamond Award for Media Excellence (DAME) and Nigeria Media Merit Award (NNMA). He is a member of the Writers Guild of America where he’s the first African-born member of the influential Writers Education committee.

He won an award for screenplay at the Tribecca film festival in 2006. On top of that he was named one of the ‘Five filmmakers of color, to watch in America.
